On Saturday, 28 June 2008, a participatory budgeting event called Your Health Your Vote Your Community took place in Thornhill. Local residents actively participated in the decision over the allocation of Health Care expenditure to the value of £50,000.

Solent University media department filmed Thornhill Plus You over the period of a year, providing a compilation of videos of events and projects that have taken place in Thornhill over the last year. All Thornhill residents received this film on a DVD.

The Thornhill Festival 2005

The annual Thornhill Festival was held on 17 September 2005. At this popular community event Hinkler Green came alive with colour, dance and music. The whole event has been organised by a group of local residents and Motiv8, with support from Thornhill Plus You.
