About THAWN
The Thornhill Health and Wellbeing Network (THAWN) is a community
committee who are helping residents to obtain a healthier lifestyle.
THAWN works closely alongside the The
Thornhill Health and Wellbeing Project (THAWP).
What THAWN Offers
The group meets
at the Natterbox every Thursday between 12.30 and 3.30.

A Chinese system of physical exercises
designed especially for self-defense and meditation.
Tuesday 1.30 p.m.
- 2.30 p.m. at Eastpoint Centre. Each session costs £1.50
Tuesday 7.30 p.m.
- 9 p.m. at Hightown Youth Centre, Tunstall Road. Each session
costs £3.50

THAWN has 5 advisors
on hand to assist THAWP in helpin those wishing to quit smoking.
Advice can also be offered on a one-to-one basis if required.
THAWN educates residents
on how to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Active promotion
of the importance of diet ( such as eating 5 portions of fruit
and vegetables a day ) and exercise takes place at local events
and through THAWN literature.
