The
New Homes project could provide up to 66 new homes (mainly
houses) for Thornhill.
The
proposed Phase 1 New Home sites are:
St
Coleman's site – between Bursledon Road and Lydgate
Road
Warburton
Court – between Lydgate Road and shopping parade
Sheridan/Hinkler
Road – Backland, Sheridan Close
Byron
Road – junction of Byron Road and Burke Drive
Proctor
Close – between Hinkler Road and Tatwin Crescent |

There
are many Thornhill families currently living in flats
who would prefer a house on Thornhill, and some older
people who would like to move out of their houses and
into bungalows. By building new houses and bungalows
we aim to keep the Thornhill community together and
help local families move into the homes they want.
All of the above sites now have
planning permission except the St Colmans site, which
is still at consultation stages. Highway issues are also
going through a period of consultation. |
Consultation
has also now been carried out on the plans with the
Council's Planning and Highways Teams. If you require
