FUNDING
AVAILABLE FOR HEALTH INITIATIVES THAT BENEFIT THORNHILL
Thornhill
Plus You's Community Health Group is looking to allocate
over £70,000 of funding to charities, statutory
organisations and community groups that have an idea
for a health focused project that would benefit the
Thornhill community.
In
addition to this, a project could be funded for a further
thirty thousand pounds a year, for up to three years.
Thornhill Plus You are currently inviting expressions
of interest for this particular strand of funding; any
interested parties should contact Thornhill Plus You
directly.
As
part of the agreement of Thornhill Plus You's contribution
to the build of the ‘Thornhill Centre for Healthy Living',
the Primary Care Trust has provided a pot of funding
that can be used to pay for small to medium sized projects
that benefit Thornhill residents. This is the second
time funding has been available from this funding source
as a successful round of bidding took place earlier
this year. Projects that received funding were: BTCV,
Claptrap Productions, Thornhill Primary School , Reality!,
Sing for Your Life Ltd, The Star Project, Thornhill
Health and Wellbeing Network and Treasure Gymnastics.
