Working
Together for a Better Thornhill
Thornhill
Plus You is the ten-year government funded New Deal for Communities
(NDC) programme in Thornhill. The estate's strong sense of
community is one of the reasons it was chosen as the site
for regeneration in Southampton.
Thornhill
Plus You began in 2001 and is now in its eighth year of the
programme. In this time the programme has funded a wide range
of initivatives including the Thornhill Tidy Team and the
Neighbourhood Wardens, as well as making physical improvements
to the estate such as the skate park and multi-use games area
on Hinkler Green, clean up of Thornhill Park and the fencing
along Bursledon Road.
Thornhill
Plus You is based at the Eastpoint Centre on Burgoyne Road.
We have 20 board members and seek to involve more local residents
into our projects. All our members can be contacted by email
or telephone and details can be found in the Contact us section
of this website.
This
is our website for the people of Thornhill. It is designed
to share our achievements, present our plans and provide information
on our projects. We want to build upon our strong community
spirit and promote our better, safer, happier Thornhill.
A
great deal of work has gone into making this website useful
and informative to Thornhill residents and we always appreciate
comments and ideas on how we can improve it.
